Founded by Lewis L. Guarnieri in 1919, Guarnieri & Secrest, P.L.L. has represented clients in and out of the courtroom for nearly a century. We remember the following deceased members of the firm:
Lewis L. Guarnieri (1896-1976) - The late Attorney Guarnieri obtained his undergraduate and law degrees from the Catholic University of America in Washington D.C., where the law school's moot courtroom was named for him prior to the recent construction of the C.U.A. Columbus School of Law. Mr. Guarnieri also received a Master of Laws from Georgetown University prior to commencing his legal practice in Warren, Ohio. Mr. Guarnieri practiced at the firm until his death in 1976. George W. Secrest (1894-1959) - The late Attorney Secrest, originally Akron, Ohio, served as Trumbull County Prosecutor prior to joining Lewis L. Guarnieri in the private practice of law in Warren, Ohio. Mr. Secrest graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University and attended Harvard Law School prior to receiving his law degree from The Ohio State University. Mr. Secrest was an esteemed member of the Warren Board of Education and the namesake of the former Secrest Elementary School in Warren. Paul A. Guarnieri (1912-1992) - The late Attorney Guarnieri received his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Notre Dame prior to returning to Warren, Ohio to join his brother Lewis L. Guarnieri in the practice of law. Mr. Guarnieri practiced law at the firm until his death in 1992.
